Wandering through the Auto Show, it was like the lights of heaven were shining on the Flex. Here was a car MADE for road trips – multiple skylights , optional refrigerator, extra wide seats for carrying kids and dogs; and, my favorite, a built-in inverter to provide my lap-top with unlimited power while traveling made it seem like the Flex was actually begging me to take it on a trip. I was smitten.

How Many Miles Can One Pilot Go?

When our family travel plan was born, we were driving a 2003 Honda Pilot that had 100,000 miles on it. We had three children that were 9, 10, and 11 and were growing rapidly and we had a standard Poodle and small Bichon. It was clear to us that one of the many obstacles that we’d have to overcome if the trip would involve driving was buying a new vehicle.
